Beautiful, Delicious Fruit from GrubMarket {Giveaway}

Sharing is caring!

Last week a California Fruit Bounty Box (regular-size) from GrubMarket arrived on our doorstep. Opening that box was most fun we’ve had opening a package. I could barely keep the kids’ excited hands out of the box as I pulled out fruit after fruit.

They could not wait to try all the fruit while I kept repeating, “wait! I have to take pictures first!” I had to snap the photos fast! I wish I’d taken a pull back shot from my quick photo shoot, because all the kids were just outside of the frame drooling over the fruit and discussing what they wanted to try first.GrubMarket Review and Giveaway

Product photos successfully (although quickly) taken, the kids crowded around the kitchen table to sample the fruit.  I loved how fun it made trying new things. We had fruit in our box I’d never heard of before, much less seen in the grocery store! I had to google to find out how to eat them! GrubMarket Review and Giveaway
Our regular-size California Fruit Bounty Box contained:
  • Pineapple
  • Dates
  • Apples
  • Oranges
  • Blood Orange
  • Pears
  • Pummelo
  • Minneola
  • Pomegranate
  • Avocado
We crowded around the kitchen table, and the children chose fruit after fruit to sample. Every single fruit was so sweet and delicious. I’m always afraid to buy unfamiliar fruit at the grocery store, because I never know how to pick the correct ripeness. GrubMarket took all the guess work out, and every fruit was sweet and ripe. I thought I didn’t like pears, but after eating the pears in our GrubBox I’m thinking I’ve never eaten a ripe pear before. They were so delicious!GrubMarket Review and Giveaway
I could not wait to eat the pomegranate, as I have such good memories of enjoying them while studying abroad in Spain. As we opened and tried the pomegranate I took the opportunity to share the memories of that adventure with my children. My grandmother was so excited to see dates in the box. As we sampled the dates, she told my children stories of her newly wed days eating dates with my grandfather while he was stationed on a Naval ship in California.GrubMarket Review and Giveaway

Here is a little more information about Grub Market:

GrubMarket is all about providing accessibility, by delivering the following key benefits to their stakeholders:
  • Unbeatable prices:  While many food delivery services and premium grocers cater to high-income earners, GrubMarket is committed to making fresh and delicious food accessible to all people by keeping their prices consistently lower than all comparable grocers.
  • Convenience:  Through their reliable operations, GrubMarket is committed to providing people in food deserts (ie. areas without farmers’ markets and fresh grocery stores) with access to high-quality, freshly-harvested items that they would typically find at a farmers’ market or Whole Foods store.  Additionally, they offer free delivery across the U.S. for all orders above $59.
  • Food Discovery:  GrubMarket provides a platform for their partnering small farms and vendors to sell their items directly to customers.  Many of these food producers have challenges getting shelf space at grocery stores, and/or may not want to pay the upfront costs of hosting farmers’ market tables.  GrubMarket gives these food producers access to tens of thousands of customers through a robust online marketplace, regardless of the food producers’ production scale.
GrubMarket firmly believes that you, your family, and your friends should always have the opportunity to eat well, and that price should never be a barrier between you and healthy, delicious, and freshly-harvested food.  They are committed to providing you with the best grocery experience possible, by regularly offering you wholesome foods at wholesale prices.  They work with a variety of farms and artisan producers to bring you high-quality foods and other items at prices that are up to 50% OFF what you’d typically find at Whole Foods and other grocers.
