My daughter’s dog, Amity, has been a huge part of our family since I became a single Mom and we moved to a farm. Not only has Amity been a comfort and friend, but she is also our companion around the farm and on our many adventures. such as hiking and traveling.

Since our highly active and adventurous lifestyle also means a highly active life for Amity, we are choosing Nature’s Recipe dry dog food which uses natural recipes with added vitamins and minerals to “Fuel the Wag”.

Each time Amity finds me loading the van with suitcases or coolers, she gets excited for whatever adventure the van will bring.  Whether swimming on the lake, hiking by the river, or chasing us as we drive off-road vehicles at a friend’s farm, she is ready. Nature’s Recipe dog food with no poultry by-product meal, corn, or wheat fuel her wag and all her escapades.

Since we travel with Amity so frequently, she needed a travel dog food container. I love the “Fuel the Wag” slogan of Nature’s Recipe dog food, and thought it would be the perfect addition to her food container.

Supply List:

  • Dog food storage container
  • permanent outdoor vinyl in gold
  • transfer tape
  • Vinyl cutting machine

Directions:

Choose a plastic dog food container that will to suit your needs. Since we travel so much with our dog, I choose a small container with secure lid perfect for traveling.

Measure the dog food container to determine how large to make the vinyl decal. Use your favorite font to type Fuel the Wag in the vinyl cutter program, then drag the edges until the size fits your container. If you chose a cursive font, be sure to select all the letters of the cursive word and weld your the letters of the word together. Load your machine with gold permanent vinyl and cut out the design.

Cut each word out separately, then weed the design.

Place a separate piece of transfer tape on top of each word, then press it down with a scraper before peeling off the back of the vinyl.

Center the words on the container. Lightly place each word without pressing the vinyl down for easy moving as you get the spacing just right. When you are happy with the spacing, press the design firmly on the dog food container using a scraper. Gently peel off the transfer tape.

Add several gold vinyl dog paw prints to the container using the same method as the letters.

That’s it! Now you are ready to fill the container with Nature’s Recipe dry dog food, which has a 35 year history of of premium recipes using high quality ingredients.
