ESV Family Devotional Bible Review + Giveaway

Sharing is caring!

I’m a huge fan of the ESV Bible, so I jumped at the chance to review the ESV Family Devotional Bible with my children. And I’m giving one away to my readers, so make sure to enter at the bottom of this post!ESV Devotional Bible

The ESV Family Devotional Bible helps families read and learn about God’s Word together. It contains the entire Bible, with full color illustrations plus 130 family devotions spread throughout the pages. These devotions guide your family through the entire Bible in a year.ESV Devotional Bible

Each devotion has an illustration, the scripture reference (so you can read the story as written in the Bible) plus a retelling of the story even young kids can understand. At the end of the story each devotion has several questions to discuss and a key verse from the passage. I really like how some of the questions in the Old Testament point to Jesus fulfilling promises in the New Testament. For example, the devotion about Jeremiah asks, “What is the great promise that God made to his people, and how does Jesus fulfill this promise?”ESV Devotional BibleEach devotion has the page number of the next devotion at the bottom. While a simple detail, it happens to be one of my favorite highlights as it makes using this devotion so user friendly! Since the devotions are placed in the Bible near the corresponding scripture passage, that simple detail helps find the next devotion without accidentally skipping any. Plus the included ribbon page marker ensures that your family never loses its place. You’ll find maps such as The Exodus from Egypt, The Places Paul Visited, and more in the section of full-color kid friendly maps at the back of the Bible.

This Bible provides such a great way to get in the habit of reading the Bible together as a family. Just find a convenient time of day and start reading together!
