Tips for Being Prepared for Sickness on Vacation

Sharing is caring!

This post has been sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. All thoughts and reviews are my own.

Vacation and adventure are my favorite things about summer. In the past few years, I’ve taken advantage of the flexible schedule that working from home and homeschooling allow my family. Traveling as a single Mom can be daunting, but I’ve found that planning and preparation go along way to make vacationing alone with children as stress free as possible.

Have you ever found yourself on vacation with a sick child? On my first vacation as a single Mom, I was completely unprepared and had no children’s medication packed. Running out for medication meant gathering all of my kids in the car and looking for a store in an unfamiliar location.

When going on vacation I always pack Children’s Advil®, Children’s Robitussin® and Children’s Dimetapp® to tackle the ickiest of symptoms. I can treat just about any minor aliment that pops up on vacation with these 3 Pfizer Consumer Healthcare medications, itch relief cream, and a small first aid kit.

My children often get headaches while on vacation. I often think the break from routine and later bedtimes bring on these headaches. Children’s Advil® is a great solution for aches and pains for kids between 2 and 11 years old, with the added bonus of reducing fever, should a summer virus hit while away on vacation. With several great-tasting flavors including Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape there is a choice for every family.

Small quarters on vacation and a coughing child result in sleepless nights for the whole family. That’s why I pack Children’s Robitussin® Extended-Release 12 Hour Cough Relief to control and relieve symptoms all day or all night.

When a cold hits on vacation the perfect answer is Children’s Dimetapp® Multi-Symptom Cold Relief Dye-Free to ease symptoms of stuffy and runny noses, while also quieting a cough.

Before your next vacation invest in a locking medication container. When aches and pains or a cold hit during vacation being prepared with reliable medication will have your child’s symptoms under control quickly.
