Paint Picking

Each time we visit Lowes the children beg to pick several paint swatches to take home.  They love choosing their favorite colors and playing with the swatches.  Now, that we are talking about painting bedrooms, they could not wait for the next trip to Lowes to choose swatches for their new paint colors.  The kids get to choose any color they want for their new bedrooms, though we’ve told them that we may choose a lighter shade of their chosen color.  Michael’s favorite color is black, so he is thinking about a light gray room, with a dark gray stripe and black furniture.   The big girls are still undecided.  They keep choosing really bright, bold colors; purples, teals, yellows, and pinks.  We’ve decided that those colors will be great for accents in their bedding and accessories while the walls can be a lighter shade of one of those colors-they are leaning towards light pink.  Peyton didn’t even need to look at swatches, her room will be “pink, pink, pink!” she says.
