How to make Star Wars Puppets

Supplies:

  • Colored paper
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Craft glue
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Marker
  • Leia, Yoda, Chewy, C-3PO Template
  • Han Solo & Darth Vader Template

Directions:

Print out the templates and cut out the pattern pieces. Choose colored papers for each puppet- Yoda, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Han Solo, C-3PO, & Darth Vader).

I’ll show you how to make Chewbacca and Yoda, then you can make all the puppets following the same ideas.

Trace the patterns you’ve already cut out onto colored papers for the puppets, then cut all the puppet pieces out.

Glue the inner ear pieces in Yoda’s ears. Also glue the belt diagonally across Chewbacca’s body.

Glue the puppets heads onto their bodies.

Use a black marker to draw the details onto the puppets.

Glue the puppets onto the popsicle sticks to complete the Star Wars Puppets.

Now make the rest of the puppets, following the example photo below. You’ll notice the templates also include C3P0 and Han Solo patterns as well. Simply cut the template pieces in the color you’d like to use, then glue the puppets together.

You will need to cut a slit to fit Leia and Han Solo’s hair pieces down over the puppets’ heads, otherwise simply glue and stick. Then draw the details on with a black marker.
