My Tween and Preteen Girls are Just a Call Away

My family gave up our home phone in favor of (adult) cell phones many years ago. But, now that I have tween and preteen girls I suddenly find my phone in use by them more than me! Not to mention how they put it down in random places so I have to search for it, plus how they often drain my battery! I know its normal for them to want to chat with friends 24/7, but not at the expense of my phone! I knew something had to change this school year.
This year, after moving far from many of our family and friends, they really want to use the phone all the time. Thanks to Walmart Family Mobile’s affordable 4G LTE service we now have a phone just for the kids. No more sharing mine! At $29.88/month (for the first line) Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan- including up to 1G of 4G LTE data-is the most affordable and convenient way for my children to stay in contact with their friends and family.

I considered getting an old-school home phone, but when I realized Walmart Family Mobile’s price is so similar to the price of a home phone, it made more sense to go this route. Now, we have both the convenience of a ‘home’ phone for my tween and preteen girls, with all the added benefits of a cell phone.
The girls of course, love the camera feature… Welcome to the selfie world!
And really, these days they want to text even more than they want to chat.
I love having an extra phone to send with them to events. There is a new peace of mind knowing that they can reach me at anytime, and I can reach them too! Are you tired of your tweens and/or preteens hogging the phone? Check our your local Walmart’s Family Mobile Plan for a great affordable solution!
We don’t have a landline either, just cell phones. My teen is pretty responsible do I feel comfortable allowing her to use her phone.
I wish I could give up my home phone as I don’t use it but still have as needed for broadband — so annoying. Anyway, how good of you to give your daughter a phone. It definitely will help her keep up friends and also you’ll be able to track her down and stay in contact when she is out and about. So a win-win all the way around.
Ahhh so not ready for the teen years! *runs and hides* but I know it will come and I know I will want to be able to get ahold of them for sure! I like her purse 🙂
My toddler is already obsessed with phones, my husband works nights so we call him before bed every night and now she’ll bring me my phone and say Dada hi! I’m thinking she’ll be a talker like him 🙂
We also gave up our home phone and we each have a cell phone. It’s super convenient and cuts down our phone bill.
I’m not yet ready for the teen, my son would really grow so fast and 2 years to go he will be a teen, he’s using cellphone and hide for me.
