Instructions:
Download and print out the pattern Cut out the pattern pieces.
Select colored craft papers (we used green, blue, yellow and pink) and trace the template patterns on them using a pencil.
Cut out the traced patterns using a pair of scissors.
Glue the small teardrop shapes to the big teardrop shapes.
Cut a square piece of green paper (8.5” x 8.5”). Fold it in half diagonally.
Fold up the right corner so it touches the top corner.
Fold up the left corner the same way.
Unfold the last 2 folds.
Fold down the top corner of the top layer so it touches the bottom edge of the triangle.
Take the right corner and tuck it inside the triangle pocket.
Flatten the fold.
Fold and tuck the left corner in the same way.
Cut the top corner of the bookmark into a round edge.
Glue the teardrop shapes along the round edge of the bookmark as shown below.
Cut the top edge of the bookmark around the teardrops round edges to finish the tail feathers.
Attach the body cutout to the bottom corner of the bookmark.
Glue the wings on either side of the body.
Then, glue the head onto the body. Glue the beak and cheeks on the peacock’s face. Draw eyes onto the peacock with a marker or gel pin.
You can draw the cheeks and beak as well, if you prefer.
