  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Sponge Dabber Paintbrush
  • Iridescent Glitter Glue
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Red Craft Foam
  • White Craft Paint
  • Pink Craft Paint
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Pencil
  • Santa Pattern

Instructions:

STEP ONE

To create Santa, line up five jumbo craft sticks on your work surface, making the three in the center one inch longer then the two on either side.

Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the Santa and attach the trimmed sticks to the lined up sticks with a glue gun and glue sticks. You can use liquid craft glue rather than glue sticks, but you’ll need to wait additional time for the glue to dry.

Using scissors, trim the excess from the top of the two longer jumbo craft sticks. Glue two of the discarded pieces of jumbo craft sticks together to create a “V” shaped mustache.

Place the mustache on Santa and trace lightly with a pencil.

Paint Santa’s beard, mustache, and hair with white craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Download, print, and cut out the Santa Pattern. Using a pencil, trace the hat pattern onto red craft foam.

Cut out with scissors, making sure to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.

Attach eight small white pom poms along the bottom edge of Santa’s hat with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Glue one large white pom pom to the top of Santa’s hat.

Glue Santa’s hat to his head.

Attach the mustache and wiggle eyes onto Santa’s face with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Measure and cut a one-inch section of a jumbo craft stick, and glue to Santa’s mustache face for his nose.

Using a piece of scrap paper, mask off the edge of Santa’s hair and create cheeks with pink craft paint and a sponge dabber.

To finish the Craft Stick Santa, add sparkle to his beard and mustache by creating swirls with iridescent glitter glue. Set aside to dry.

Use your finished Santa craft as the cutest gift tag or Christmas tree ornament this holiday season.
