How to make a Paper Gnome Corner Bookmark
List of Supplies:
- Colored craft papers
- Pencil – to trace the template
- A pair of scissors
- Craft glue
- Markers
- Template
Instructions:
Download and print out the gnome bookmark template.
Select different colored craft papers for the gnome pattern and cut a piece of square paper (16cm x 16cm at least) for the corner bookmark.
Trace the template patterns on the selected colored craft papers and cut them out nicely using scissors.
Glue the nose cutout on the middle of the mustache cutout and attach the hat cutout along one edge of the head cutout.
Attach the mustache and nose on top of the beard cutout.
Attach the beard along the bottom edge of the head.
Use a marker to add dots (or any kind of design you like) on the hat.
Also, use a marker to draw the eyes of the gnome..
Now let’s make the origami corner bookmark.
Take the square paper and fold it in half, diagonally.
Fold both of the corners of the triangle up to the top point of the triangle.
Unfold the corner folds.
Take the only the top layer of the top point of the triangle, fold it towards the bottom edge of the triangle. This will form a pocket.
Fold up the right corner along the previous crease.
Fold and insert the top half of the triangle you just folded up into the pocket you created in the previous step.
Crease that fold well.
Similarly, fold up and tuck in the bottom left side of the triangle inside the pocket.
Attach the paper gnome head on the flat square of the origami corner bookmark.
