Popsicle Stick Elf Craft

How to Make a Craft Stick Elf
Materials:
- Jumbo Craft Sticks
- White Pom Poms
- Wiggle Eyes
- Red and Green Craft Foam
- Sponge Dabbers
- Green and Pink Craft Paint
- Black Marker
- Craft Adhesive
- Paintbrush
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Elf printable pattern
Instructions:
To create the Elf, line up six jumbo craft sticks on your work surface.
Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the Elf and attach with your favorite craft adhesive. We used a glue gun and glue sticks for quick drying.
You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry between steps.
Using scissors, trim the two discarded pieces of jumbo craft sticks into pointed elf ears.
Then attach to the right and left sides of the Elf with a glue.
Paint the bottom two inches of the Elf with green craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.
For this project leave the Elf face the natural wood tone, or paint in the flesh tone color of your choice.
Attach two large wiggle eyes to the Elf with glue.
Create cheeks with pink craft paint and a sponge dabber.
Measure and cut a one-inch section of a jumbo craft stick, and glue to the Elf’s face as the nose.
Download, print, and cut out the elf template.
Using a pencil, trace the hat pattern onto green craft foam.
Trace the hat and collar trim onto red craft foam with a pencil.
Cut out all shapes with scissors, making sure to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.
Attach the red hat trim to the bottom edge of the green hat with glue.
Then glue the red collar trim to the top edge of the green paint, and the hat to the top of the Elf’s head.
Glue one large white pom pom to the top point of the Elf’s hat.
Attach small white pom poms to the points of the red collar with glue.
To finish the Craft Stick Elf, draw a large smile from cheek to cheek using a permanent black marker.
