Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been a favorite of little boys for decades! My cousins played Ninja Turtles. My now teen boys loved Ninja Turtles too! And now Ninja Turtles have come back for another generation of little boys!

If your boy is obsessed with the Ninja Turtles, then he’ll love making this cute Ninja Turtle craft. After creating the Ninja Turtle puppets, kids can act out their favorite Ninja Turtle adventures!

DIY Ninja Turtle Craft

List of Supplies

  • Colored craft papers or cardstock papers
  • Popsicle sticks
  • A pair of scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Pencil –  to trace the template
  • Markers
  • Template

Instructions:

Download and print out the Ninja Turtle Template. Cut out all of the pattern pieces.

Select green colored craft paper for the body parts of the ninja turtle figures. Select light brown and mustard colored papers for the knee pads, pads and belt patterns.

Select red, blue, yellow and purple colored papers for the masks of each character.

Trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and cut them out nicely. Prepare 4 sets of patterns, switching the mask color for each turtle.

Grab any one of the prepared pattern sets. Glue the mask cutout on the head cutout.

Glue the belt near the bottom part of the stomach and glue the knee pads in the middle parts of the leg pieces.

Glue the eye cutouts on the attached eye mask.

Glue the stomach piece on the top edge of the leg pieces.

Use a black marker to draw the mouth of the teenage mutant ninja turtle figure. Glue the arm cutouts on both sides of the stomach.

Glue the head on the top edge of the turtle’s body.

Attach the ninja turtle figure on a popsicle stick to complete the puppet craft. Now, create the rest of the turtles following the directions above, and switching the mask color for each turtle.
