DIY Mermaid Tail Bookmarks
This fun DIY mermaid tail bookmark is the perfect mermaid craft for summer!
Kids will love making this adorable mermaid bookmark to use with their summer reading choices! Simply print out the free template and follow the instructions below to make this fun summer bookmark.
How to make a Mermaid Bookmark:
Supplies
- Colored paper
- Cardstock
- Sequins
- Craft glue
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Template
Directions:
Print and cut out the mermaid bookmark template.
Choose 2 different shades of the same color paper for the mermaid tail – you can use construction paper, or cardstock. Also choose a piece of cardstock for the base of the bookmark.
Trace the rectangular bookmark base (rectangle) on the cardstock paper. Trace the mermaid tail shape on the darker color paper, and the smaller shapes on the lighter shade.
Cut out all of the bookmark pieces.
Glue the small wing shape pieces onto the mermaid’s tail as shown below.
Glue the stripes onto the bottom of the tail as shown below.
Glue the mermaid tale onto the rectangular cardstock bookmark as show below.
Glue the sequins onto the tale anywhere you like.
Be sure to allow the glue to dry completely before using your bookmark.
