Materials:
- Jumbo Craft Sticks
- Wiggle Eyes
- Craft Felt – Gold &Red
- Black Marker– Dollar Store
- Craft Glue or a Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Craft Paint – White & Pink
- Paintbrush
- Sponge Dabber
- Scissors
- Printed Pattern
Instructions:
To create the chicken, line up five jumbo craft sticks on your work surface.
Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the chicken and attach with glue.
**We used a glue gun and glue sticks for this tutorial, but you can use liquid craft glue for this project.
Paint the chicken with white craft paint.
Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.
Download, print, and cut out the chicken patterns.
Trace the crown and waddle onto red craft felt and the beak onto gold craft felt.
Cut out the traced patterns with scissors, cutting inside the lines to create a clean finished project.
Attach two wiggle eyes with glue.
Glue the crown and waddle, then adhere the beak on top of the waddle.
Create cheeks by dipping a sponge dabber into pink craft paint and stamping on both sides of the chicken.
To finish, draw two dots at the top of the beak with a black marker.
