Thing 1 & Thing 2 Bookmark – Dr. Seuss Craft

How to make Dr. Seuss Bookmarks
Supplies:
- White, Blue and Red craft papers
- Craft glue
- Marker or gel pen
- A pair of scissors
- Template
Instructions:
Download and print out the Thing bookmark template. Cut out all of the pattern pieces.
Select white, blue and red colored craft papers for the Thing 1 & Thing 2 corner bookmarks.
Trace the hair on blue paper, the rectangle piece on red paper and the head + round shape on white paper. Cut out the traced pieces.
Step 2:
Take a 6 inch piece of square paper and make an origami corner bookmark with it. If you don’t know how to make a corner bookmark, this tutorial will walk you through it step by step.
Now that you’ve completed the origami corner bookmark, turn it to the solid square side.
Attach the hair cutout on the top corner of the bookmark (the open end of the square is the bottom, the closed end is the top.
Attach the rectangle cutout on the bookmark, just below the hair.
Glue the head cutout on top of the rectangle paper, just below the hair.
Attach the small circle on the red rectangle, halfway between the bottom of the head and the bottom of the bookmark.
Cut off extra sides of the rectangle.
Use a marker or gel pen to draw the face of the Thing and write the number on the circle.
Now, follow all the steps again to make the Think 2 bookmark
Now, place your Thing bookmark on the corner of a book’s page.
