One Fish Two Fish Craft for Seuss Week

Crafts for Kids

Dr Seuss week is here, and that means it’s time for all things Dr. Seuss! When it comes to Dr Seuss week, crafts are my favorite thing!

Dr Seuss Week crafts are always so fun a whimsical. This One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish Craft is fun and easy for kids to create during Seuss Week celebrations!

Teaching children to read and Dr. Seuss go hand in hand. As a homeschooling mom, I know almost every Dr. Seuss book by heart after teaching 6 children to read. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish is one of my all time favorites!

After creating this fun Seuss craft, be sure to make these delicious and easy Seuss fish cupcakes too!

How to make a 1 Fish 2 Fish Craft

Supplies:

  • Colored papers
  • Googly eyes
  • Paper plate
  • Craft glue
  • Pencil
  • Black marker or pen
  • Scissors
  • Template

Directions:

Print the template, then cut out the template pieces.

Choose colored papers for your craft. You’ll definitely need red and blue. We also chose green and yellow, but you can choose any other colors you prefer.

Trace the fish patterns on your papers, then cut them out.

For each fish trace the body on one color, then choose a different shade of the same color for the fish’s fin.

For each fish, glue the fin onto the fish’s body as shown below.

Glue the googly eye on the front each fish pattern. Then use a black pen or marker to draw a smile on each fish.

Be sure you’ve made all the fishes in the same way.

Cut a blue, water colored paper to fit the inside of your paper plate.

Glue it in the middle of the plate as shown below.

Glue your fish onto the water. Choose a placement that makes you happy! Have fun with it.

Your One Fish Two Fish craft is now complete! So easy and fun, right!?
