How to Make an Origami Corner Bookmark

Grab a square piece of origami paper, or simply cut a square of paper. You can use just about any size square, so far we’ve used sizes ranging from 3 to 8 inches square. It just depends on how much of the corner you want covered by the bookmark. For small paperback books, you may want a smaller square, while for larger hardcover or children’s books you may prefer a larger square.
I’ve also found that younger children have an easier time folding a larger square.

Place your square paper on a flat surface. This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 2020-04-23_0001-1024x850.jpg

Now fold the triangles you just created downward to the bottom point of the diamond and crease the lines.

Unfold the crease you just made, and fold them back the other way, tucking the top half of each triangle into the bottom of the diamond. This creates the pocket your book page will slide into. This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 2020-04-23_0006-1024x850.jpg
