How to Make an Axolotl Bookmark

Supplies:

  • Colored craft papers
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Markers
  • Printed template

Instructions:

Download and print out the axolotl bookmark pattern. Cut out the pattern pieces.

Trace the patterns on the selected colored craft papers and cut them out nicely using scissors.

Attach the inner gill cutouts on the outer gill cutouts.

Attach the gill patterns on either side of the head pattern.

Attach a front leg cutout along the side of the lower body. Apply glue along the edge and keep the rest of the leg cutout free from glue.

Similarly, attach the other front leg.

Trim the extra outer edges of the front legs to the edges of lower body.

Attach the tail cutout on one side of the lower body.

Attach the head on the top edge of the lower body piece.

Use markers to draw the eyes, mouth, and cheeks onto the axolotl’s head.
