Spring Puppet Crafts
These adorable popsicle stick puppets are perfect for Spring crafting and imaginary play. Kids can create these adorable bunny, lamb, and chick puppets and put on a spring time play.
These puppets for also a perfect addition to your kids’ Easter crafting!
Another great way to use this fun Easter craft is to use the bunny, lamb, and chick popsicle stick characters as bookmarks in your favorite spring book.
How to make a set of adorable spring puppets.
Supplies:
- Colored paper
- White embossed paper
- Popsicle or craft sticks
- Black marker or pen
- Craft glue
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Template
Directions:
Choose your colored papers- you’ll need yellow, orange, light blue, pink and gray. You’ll also want a white embossed paper, but you can definitely use a plain white sheet of paper if you don’t have any textured paper on hand. You can also change out any of the colors on the puppets that you’d rather use.
Print and cut out the template pieces. Trace the puppet pieces as shown below (or using the colored papers of your own choosing).
Cut out all of the puppet pieces.
First let’s make the lamb puppet.
Attach the small hair piece on the top of the lamb’s head. Then glue the legs to the bottom of the lamb’s body.
Glue the lamb’s head on the top of its body.
Next, let’s make the chick puppet.
Glue the beak on the chick’s head, then glue the legs onto the chick’s body.
Glue the wings to either side of the chick’s body, then glue the head on top. See below for placement.
Finally, we will make the bunny puppet.
Glue the pink inner ears to the head. Then glue the belly in the center of the large body circle.
Glue the bunny’s head onto its body. Then attach the bunny’s tail behind the body. Finally add the bunny’s feet to the bottom of its body.
Use a black marker or pen to draw the face detail on your puppets.
Now, glue the puppets to the popsicle sticks to finish the spring puppets.
