DIY Pokeball Corner Bookmark: A Pokemon Craft

Sharing is caring!

Pokemon, Pokemon, Pokemon. My kids love Pokemon. Everywhere we go they ask to take turns using my phone to catch Pokemon. And as long as I’m not using my phone for a map, I love it. It often means more peaceful minutes to shop!

Since they love Pokemon and reading so much, I thought these adorable Pokeball Corner Bookmarks would be a great summer Pokemon craft!

Easy to make while encourage kids to read too!  Yes, please! Print out the template and get started on these Pokemon Bookmarks right now!

Supplies:

  • Colored craft paper
  • White art paper
  • Pencil or pen – for tracing the template
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue or glue stick

Directions:

Print off the template and prepare to cut the pattern pieces and cut out a white square. You can make a small bookmark using the smaller template pieces and a 3 x 3 inch white piece of paper, or a larger bookmark using the larger pieces and a 4 x 4 inch piece of white paper.

First you’ll need to make the corner bookmark.

How to make a corner bookmark

Fold the square paper into half, from one corner to its opposite diagonal corner.

You’ll have a triangle shaped paper. Now, fold the bottom right corner of the triangle to its top corner.

Then, fold the left corner to the top corner.

Now unfold the two folds you just made, so your paper is a triangle again.

Fold down the top corner of ONLY the front layer paper to the bottom corner. This will create a pocket between the 2 layers of paper.

Fold up the corner of the triangle again. Folding half of the small triangle into the inside of the pocket.

Repeat for the other side. The corner bookmark is ready!

Now turn the bookmark over.

Trace the basic Pokemon ball patterns from the template onto colored craft papers. You can make any Pokemon ball bookmark by simply tracing (free hand) the patterns on appropriate colored craft papers and adding the patterns to the corner bookmark.

Attach the triangle piece on the closed side of the corner bookmark and then attach the black border along the center of the bookmarks; diving the white part from the colored part.

Now, attach the white circle to the black circle; and then attach it the layered circle onto the middle of the black border.

Allow the glue to dry and done!

Your kids will love using these adorable Pokeball Corner Bookmarks while they read this summer!

Next, make these Pokemon Bookmarks to go along with the Pokeball bookmarks.
