You’ll make Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, and a Piranha Plant popsicle stick characters when you make this cute Super Mario Craft.

Make a Super Mario Bros Craft

List of Supplies:

Colored craft papers
Pencil – to trace the template
Craft glue
Scissors
Markers
Popsicle sticks
Template

Instructions:

Download and print out the Mario Bros Puppet template. Cut out all of the pattern pieces.

Select colored craft papers for the Mario Brothers puppets. The template includes patterns for the following figures- Mario, Luigi, Princess, Toad (the red mushroom) and a Piranha plant.

Trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and cut out the traced pieces.

Let’s start with the Mario puppet.

Attach the hair and mustache cutouts on the head cutout.

Use a marker to draw the eyes and nose.

Cut out a round shape and write M on it with a marker. Attach the round paper on Mario’s hat cutout and then attach the hat on the top of his head.

Attach the button cutouts on to the overalls and attach the shoe cutouts on the lets of the overalls.

Attach the shirt cutout on the back side of the overall as shown below.

Attach the hand cutouts onto the shirt.

Attach the head on to the top edge of the overalls.

Follow the same steps again to create the Luigi figure.

Take the Toad and the Piranha pieces.

Use pencil to draw spots on the flower part of the plant and the top round part of the mushroom head.

Be sure to cut a slit on the yellow line of the mushroom head piece.

Use red marker to fill the spots you traced.

Attach the cutouts together as shown below to complete the Piranha plant and the Toad figure.

Gather the pieces for the Princess Peach figure.

Cut slit along the yellow marked line of the hair and insert the top edge of the head through the slit from below. Use glue to join the hair and head together.
