How to Make a Tiger Toilet Paper Roll

  • Toilet Paper Roll
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Colored Cardstock – Orange, Black, Ivory, & Pink
  • Black Marker
  • Craft Glue or a Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Orange Craft Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Printed Tiger Pattern

Instructions:

Download and print out the tiger pattern. Cut out the pattern pieces.

Paint the toilet paper roll with orange craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Use washable markers, crayon, or even colored pencil to color the cardboard if you prefer.

Trace the muzzle and tummy onto ivory colored paper, trace the nose and stripes onto black colored paper, the outer ears onto orange colored paper, the inner ears onto pink colored paper with a pencil.

Cut out all the traced patterns with scissors, cutting inside the lines to create a clean finished project. Cut the tiger stripes into eight pieces 2” long and three pieces 1” long. 

Attach the nose to the muzzle, the inner ears to the outer ears with glue. Glue the muzzle and tummy onto the tiger. Trim all the stripes into a point at one end. Cut a slit halfway up from the bottom center of each ear with scissors.

Attach two wiggle eyes with glue. Using a dot of glue at the top of each slit. Attach the ears to the right and left sides of the tiger by sliding the ears over the edge of the tube. Glue the three short stripes to the top edge of the tube and the eight long stripes to the right and left sides of the tiger.

To finish, draw a mouth and whiskers onto the tiger’s muzzle with a black marker.
