Materials:

  • Paper Plate
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Chenille Stem – (we used an iridescent tinsel)
  • Black Craft Paint
  • Cardstock – Black, Purple, Orange, & Bright Green
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • White Paint Marker or White Permanent Marker
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors 
  • Pencil
  • Printed Black Cat Pattern

Instructions:

Paint the inside of the paper plate with black craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Download and print the black cat patterns, then cut out with scissors.

Trace two outer ears onto black paper, two inner ears and nose onto purple paper, one collar onto orange paper, and one star onto bright green paper.

Cut out the patterns with scissors.

Attach 2 wiggle eyes and the nose to the Black Cat’s face with glue. Assemble the ears, then attach to the top of the paper plate with glue. Glue the star to the collar and the collar to the bottom of the cat.

Using scissors, cut two 12” chenille stems into six pieces, each 4” long.

Attach three chenille stem whiskers to the right and left side of the black cat nose with glue.

To finish, draw a cat’s mouth under the nose with a while paint marker.
