Make a Popsicle Stick Cow
Materials:
- Jumbo Craft Sticks
- Wiggle Eyes
- Craft Felt – Light Pink & Black
- Marker, Black
- Craft Glue or a Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Craft Paint – White & Black
- Paintbrush
- Sponge Dabber
- Scissors
- Printed Cow Pattern
Instructions:
To create the cow, line up five jumbo craft sticks on your work surface.
Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the cow and attach with glue.
** For the tutorial, we used a glue gun and glue sticks. You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.
Paint the cow with white craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.
Add spots to the cow by dipping a sponge dabber into black acrylic craft paint and stamping randomly over the surface.
Download, print, and cut out the cow patterns.
Trace the outer ears onto black craft felt, the inner ears and nose onto light pink craft felt.
Cut out the traced patterns with scissors, cutting inside the lines to create a clean finished project.
Attach the pink felt inner ear onto the black felt outer ear with glue.
Attach two wiggle eyes with glue. Glue the nose at the bottom of the cow.
Adhere the ears to the top right and top left of the cow with glue.
To finish, draw two oval nostrils on the nose with a black marker.
