How to Make an Ice Cream Cone Craft

Materials:

  • Jumbo Craft Sticks
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Craft Glue or a Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Craft Paint – Light Brown & Dark Brown
  • Craft Felt – White, Brown, Lavender, Light Pink, & Bright Pink
  • Pom Poms
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Black Marker
  • Pencil
  • Ice Cream Patterns

Instructions:

To create the cone, create a triangle with three jumbo craft sticks on your work surface, and secure at the corners with glue.

Dry fit additional jumbo craft sticks along the length of the triangle and mark with a pencil. 

Trim the ends of the jumbo craft sticks with scissors. 

Attach the trimmed jumbo craft sticks to the back of the cone with glue.

Paint the cones with light brown craft paint.

Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary. 

Using a small round paintbrush add a diagonal grid pattern with dark brown craft paint. Let dry.

Trace the ice cream scoop pattern onto lavender and light pink craft felt. 

Cut out the ice cream scoop patterns with scissors. 

Trace the ice cream topping pattern onto brown and white craft felt with a marker.

Cut out the ice cream topping patterns with scissors. 

Attach the ice cream scoops to the ice cream cones with glue.

Trace and cut out two cheek patterns from light pink and bright pink craft felt. Attach the ice cream toppings, cheeks and two wiggle eyes to the craft stick ice cream cone with glue.

Attach a large pom pom to the top of each ice cream cone with glue.

Draw a smile from cheek to cheek with a black marker.
