*We used a glue gun and glue sticks for our tutorial, but you can use liquid craft glue if you prefer.

Round both ends of the hot dog by carefully cutting with scissors.

Mix a few drops of burgundy craft paint with tan acrylic craft paint until it is the color of a hot dog. Paint the hot dog with the specially mixed paint color. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Download, print, and cut out the hot dog pattern.

Trace the bun pattern onto tan craft felt.

Cut out the bun patterns with scissors. Make sure to cut inside the traced lines so you end up with a clean finished project.

Attach the craft stick hot dog to the center of the bun pattern with glue.

Attach two wiggle eyes with glue. Cut out two circles from pink craft felt and glue to either side of the eyes for the cheeks.

Cut one red and one yellow chenille stem in half with scissors.

Bend the chenille stems into a zig zag pattern with your fingers. Attach the ketchup and mustard to the hot dog with glue.

To finish, outline the hot dog bun with a brown marker.
