How to Make a DIY Halloween Paper Garland
List of Supplies:
- Colored craft papers
- Scissors
- Pencil – to trace the template
- Craft glue
- Sharpie or gel pen
- String
- Template
Instructions:
Download and print out the halloween garland template. Cut out all of the template pattern pieces.
Select colored craft papers for the Halloween garland. The template includes ghost, candy corn, cauldron, witch’s hat, candy and pumpkin. Trace and cut out all the patterns.
Glue the curvy strip cutouts on the candy cutout to make the paper candy piece.
Glue the potion cutout on the top of the cauldron cutout to make the witch’s cauldron piece.
Glue the orange and yellow layers on to the candy corn to complete the candy corn piece.
Grab the witch’s hat pieces. Insert the hat strip through the slits of the buckle.
Glue the strip onto the hat cutout to make the witch’s hat.
Glue the stem cutout on the top of the pumpkin cutout.
Glue the eyes, nose and mouth cutouts on to the pumpkin to make the Jack-o-Lantern.
Use a pencil to draw the face on the ghost.
Use a marker to fill in the traced face of the paper ghost.
Select a long piece of string to make the garland. Make sure that the string isn’t tangled.
Attach the paper Halloween items to the string using craft glue or clear scotch tape. Attach the back of each item on the string.
Once you’re done attaching enough Halloween paper craft items to the string, carefully flip the garland to the right side. Now you can hang it.
