Llamacorn Felt Craft

If your child loves Llamacorns, this adorable Felt Llamacorn Craft is sure to delight!

Children, tweens, and teens will all enjoy creating this fun llamacorn sewing craft! Simply print out the template and follow the instructions below to create an adorable llamacorn craft.

This llamacorn craft is a great way for kids to practice their hand sewing skills.

You can add a loop of ribbon or embroidery floss to make this llamacorn an ornament. Or, glue a magnet to the back for an adorable refrigerator magnet.

How to sew a Llamacorn Craft

Supplies:

Colored felt fabrics
Needle
Thread
Cotton
Pen or pencil
Template

Instructions:

Print out the felt llamacorn template and cut out all of the llamacorn pattern pieces.

Select different colored felt fabric for the felt llamacorn plushie. Trace the template patterns on the selected felt fabrics and cut them out.

Use a pen or pencil to draw the face of the llamacorn on the small round cutout, then use a black thread to stitch the traced lines of the llama corn’s face.

Slightly fold either side of the ear pieces and stitch the folded part to secure the fold.

Stitch the saddle pieces together as shown below.

Stitch the face of the llamacorn plushie onto one of the body pieces, making stitches all the way around the face circle.

On the other llamacorn body piece, stitch the ears onto the head to secure them.

Stitch the horn and the flower cutouts on the top of the llamacorn’s head.

Place the 2 body pieces together, and stitch the bases together around the side- leaving an opening near the llamacorn’s back for stuffing.

Stuff the small opening with cotton or scrap felt.

When you’re done with stuffing the felt llamacorn, stitch the open end to secure the stuffing.

Stitch the saddle onto the llamacorns back.

Secure the thread when you are finished by tying 2 tight knots and inserting the needle randomly through the felt llamacorn and then drawing it out again. Cut off extra thread.
