New Mom Advice from a Mom of 6

Sharing is caring!

As a mom of 6, I’m often asked by new and expectant mothers for advice. I always hesitate to give much advice. New moms are bombarded by advice everywhere they turn, from well-meaning friends and family to strangers in the grocery store, not to mention their Facebook wall and online mommy chat groups. Advice can be conflicting and definitely overwhelming.

So, after mothering 6 newborn babies, what is the most important advice I’d give?

Simply don’t stress!

When it comes down to it, newborns only need 3 things from you. Feed them, change them, and most of all love them!

All the rest is extra, those seemingly endless decisions about which baby gear to buy and how you’ll parent can wait while you get to know your newborn. Spend your time on those three things- feed her, change her, and love her!

As a new mom, excited about your new baby and motherhood, it is easy to get caught up in buying for baby. Remember that your baby surely isn’t bothered with name brand or trendy things. Buy smart and save that money for later! Quality products are important, but expensive does not always mean quality!

I’ve been a fan of Luvs diapers for a long time. Luvs is the official diaper of experienced parents who know that a great diaper doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag.

Check out toddler Jonathan 3 years ago, excited with a brand new box of Luvs diapers. Goodness, was that boy busy- always on the move or climbing something. Thankfully, Luvs diapers stood the test of both his wild toddlerhood and his newborn explosions.

Not only are Luvs diapers always a great price, but this week you can get a brandSAVER coupon in the 8/26 Sunday paper that is good for $2 off two bags or one box of Luvs diapers at Walmart

Expecting and new moms- don’t stress. You’ve got this!

Feed, change, and love; it really is that simple!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Luvs at Walmart. The opinions and text are all mine.
