Felt Poinsettia Ornament Craft

How to Make a Poinsettia Ornament with Felt
List of Supplies:
- Felt fabric
- Needle
- Thread
- Pencil
- Ribbon
- A pair of scissors
- Template
Instructions:
Download and print out the poinsettia template. Cut out the pattern pieces.
Select red, green, yellow colored felt fabrics for the poinsettia ornament. You can use any color for the small circle ornament base.
For the background of the ornament, we used white fabric, but you can also use any color you like for that portion of the ornament too.
Trace the template patterns on the felt fabrics and cut them out.
The smallest round cutout will be the base of your poinsettia ornament. Lay the small round cutout a flat surface.
Place two of the large petal cutouts on the base cutout, around the outer edge.
Prepare needle with matching thread and stitch the petals together to the round base.
Place another large petal beside the previous ones and stitch it to the base as well.
One by one stitch all five large petals around the small base cutout.
Now, take the small petal cutouts and place them on the base cutout, at the center of the flower.
Stitch all five small petal cutouts around the center of the flower.
Now take the spiral cutout.
Roll the spiral cutout from its outer edge.
Continue to roll the spiral pattern towards the center of the spiral.
Stitch the rolled spiral piece to the center of the poinsettia.
Next, take the large round background cutoutand place the leaf cutouts around its outer edge.
Place the felt poinsettia on the ornament base and stitch it to the base, being sure to catch the leaves in the stitching.
Cut out a small ribbon and make a loop with it. Attach the loop on the back of the ornament to complete the Poinsettia Ornament Craft.
