How to make a Summer Paper Garland

List of Supplies:

  1. Colored cardstock papers
  2. Pencil
  3. Craft glue
  4. Scissors
  5. Markers
  6. String or yarn
  7. Template

Instructions:

Download, print and cut out the template patterns for the summer garland.

Select light-weight colored cardstock papers or thick craft papers for the patterns.

Trace the template patterns on the selected papers and cut them out using scissors.

Take the watermelon and the sunglass pattern cutouts. Glue the round glass cutouts on the sunglass base and glue the smaller cutout on the bigger cutout to make the watermelon slice.

Use a black marker to draw the seeds on the watermelon slice and use a blue marker to draw a zigzag pattern (as shown below) on each of the round glasses.

Glue the round cutout of the sun pattern on the ray cutout of the sun pattern.

Draw a happy face on the round part of the sun and use a pink marker to draw blush spots on the cheeks.

For the ice cream cone, glue the 3 round cutouts together to form a triangle shape.

For the popsicle, glue the cream cutout on the popsicle base cutout.

Glue the ice cream piecess on the cone and the popsicle stick to popsicle.

Glue the separate colored parts of the beach ball on the ball base cutout.

Glue the oval cutout on the top part of the beach ball, covering where the colored pieces come together. Measure and cut out a string for the garland.

Attach the back of each paper summer item to the string with glue or tape.

Once you’re done attaching enough summer paper items on the string, turn it to the right side and hang it on a wall.
