Download and print out the pattern template. Cut out the pattern pieces.

Select colored craft papers- use regular craft papers for the paper items and use thick craft papers or cardstock papers for the layers.

Trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and cut them out. The template includes patterns for the layers, a rocket, Earth, Moon, stars and an asteroid.

Take the Moon cutout and use a marker to trace the outline and spots on the moon.

Take the Earth pattern cutouts and glue the green parts to the blue base.

Use matching markers to trace outline on the green parts and the blue base.

Take the rocket cutouts and glue the flame cutouts. Glue the nose cone to the top end of the rocket base and glue the round cutout to the middle of the rocket base.

Glue the fin cutouts on both sides of the rocket base and glue the flame pattern to the bottom end of the rocket base.

Use markers to trace outlines on the rocket parts.

Take the asteroid cutouts and glue them.

Use markers to trace outline on the paper asteroid pattern.

Prepare the layers and the base for the layer art.

Prepare cardboard strips to create the gap between layers. Place the back layer (base) on a flat surface and glue 4 cardboard strips along 4 sides of the base.

Apply glue along the top surface of the attached cardboard strips.

Place the 2nd bottom layer on the glued cardboard strips and similarly, glue cardboard strips on the current top layer.

Now, glue 3rd bottom layer and then the cardboard strips along the borders.

One by one, glue all 4 layers with cardboard strips between the layers.
