Tips and Tricks for Making the Lobster Craft
- Alternative materials: Instead of paint, use markers or crayons to color the craft sticks.
- Prepping for little ones: Preglue the craft sticks together and precut the felt or chenille stem pieces for younger kids.
- Customize the colors: While traditional lobsters are red, let kids experiment with creative colors to match their decor or mood.
- Glue options: For younger kids, craft glue works well, but for a quicker craft, hot glue is a great choice (with adult supervision).
- Material swaps: Use craft foam or even paper in place of felt for a different texture and look.

Paint two regular craft sticks with red craft paint.
Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.
Download, print, and cut out the lobster patterns.
