4 Ingredient Popcorn Cereal Balls
One food my family can all agree on is cereal. When the cereal boxes (and bags) come out of the pantry all the kids cheer, and I know that for at least one meal of the day my picky eaters will leave the table full and happy.
For a family with picky eaters, keeping a variety of Post cereals on hand is a must.
While I love cereal for a quick and easy breakfast, my family is just as likely to eat cereal at other times of the day. As a working mom, keeping meals and snacks on hand that make everyone happy with little mess is a high priority. When the toddler naps, I often try to sneak in an hour of work, but it never fails that when I sit down at the computer the parade of children saying, “I’m hungry!” starts. Keeping a variety of cereal on hand is a great way for the kids to get an independent snack with little mess while I work.
With sports season starting this week, cereal will be a quick and easy dinner for the days we have long nights at the ball fields. I love that the kids think it’s a treat to occasionally eat cereal for dinner, while it makes my life so much easier with no prep and easy clean up.
Since my family loves cereal so much, I thought it would be fun to make a special snack with the new Kung Fu Panda Po Power Crunch cereal I bought from Walmart.
4 Ingredient Popcorn Cereal balls are so easy to make, and my children loved snacking on them. Why not make this fun treat to serve for family game night or your next party?
4 Ingredient Popcorn Cereal Balls
Ingredients:
- 4 cups Kung Fu Panda Po Power Crunch
- 1/4 cup butter
- 10 oz bag marshmallows
- 6 cups popped popcorn
Directions:
In the microwave, melt 1/4 cup of butter in a large bowl. Spread the melted butter all over the bowl to keep the marshmallows from sticking. Add the 10 oz bag of marshmallows, and melt in the microwave.
Pour in 6 cups of popped popcorn and 4 cups Kung Fu Panda Po Power Crunch.
Stir until the cereal and popcorn are well coated with melted marshmallow.
Lay a sheet of wax paper on the counter. Spray your hands with cooking spray, and roll the popcorn/cereal mixture into balls. Leave the popcorn cereal balls to cool completely.
Store leftover popcorn cereal balls in an airtight container
So simple to make right? With only 4 ingredients and a microwave, my tweens like to make this treat independently while I’m busy working.

You’re killing me with those cereal aisle shots! Cereal is one of the things I miss most since moving abroad. Fortified foods are banned in Denmark, so the cereal selection is very small and boring. I can make most things from scratch now, but really, how am I going to DIY Lucky Charms and Golden Grahams?
What a creative way of preparing breakfast cereals! I never thought about making popcorn and mixing it with cereal balls. This is perfect for a family breakfast, plus the Kung Fu Panda Po powder crunch is kid’s favorite. Looks so cool and fun doing it too! 😉
