Instructions:

Download and print out the pattern. Cut out the pattern pieces.

Select a colored craft paper for the crab, we suggest orange or red. Also choose a color for the cheeks.

Trace the patterns on the selected papers. Cut out the bookmark pieces. Use a marker to draw details on the crab’s eyes.

Take the square paper and fold it in half, diagonally.

Hold the top corner of only the top layer, and fold it all the way down to touch the bottom edge of the triangle.

Fold up the right corner point so that it touches the top point.

Fold the right flap in half and tuck it inside the triangle pocket at the bottom of the origami bookmark.

Flatten the fold.

Repeat the same steps to fold and tuck in the left side.

Cut round edge along the open corner of the bookmark.

Turn the bookmark to the other side.

Glue the eye cutouts near the pointy corner of the bookmark.

Glue the blush cutouts below the eyes and use a black marker to draw the mouth between the blush spots.

Glue the claw cutouts on both sides of the bookmark, slightly below the eyes.

Glue three leg cutouts on each side of the bottom round part of the crab.

After the glue dries, insert a page into the pocket to use the crab as a bookmark.
