How to make a Gnome Snack Board for Christmas

‘Tis the season for Christmas parties, and you can’t go wrong with this adorable (and delicious) Gnome Fruit Board. Trust me, you won’t believe how simple it is to create this fun Gnome snack tray!

Gnome Fruit Tray Ingredients & Supplies

It’s super easy to make your own fruit dip, but it’s even easier to pick up a tub of ready made cream cheese fruit dip from the produce section at the grocery store.

If you’d prefer to make your own fruit dip, go ahead! Looking for a fruit dip recipe? My family favorite is super simple- mix 8 ounces each of softened cream cheese and marshmallow fluff, then add a tsp of vanilla extract. Yum!

You’ll also need strawberries, mini marshmallows, and a vanilla wafer to create your snack Santa gnome.

Finally, you’ll need some yummy dippers to finish the tray with. You can use more fruit, Christmas candies, donuts, brownies… really anything your heart desires!

I used Christmas candies, festive pretzels, more mini marshmallows and vanilla wafers, powdered donuts, and mini brownies.

Choose a serving plate or board for your dessert charcuterie. I used this disposable 13 x 10 Palm Leaf platter. You could also use a glass or ceramic platter, a slate, or a wooden cutting board.

First, wash the strawberries. Cut off the green top and slice the strawberries in half. Leave them in a strainer to dry.

Next, make your favorite fruit dip, or get the store bought tub of cream cheese fruit dip out.

Place the fruit dip in the middle of your snack tray, in the shape of an upside down triangle.

Use the back of a spoon, a small spatula, or a spreader to make the triangle look like a beard.

Next, layer the sliced strawberries in a triangle shape above the beard.

Place a small dollop of fruit dip on the top strawberry.

Place a few mini marshmallows on the dip to make a pom-pom.

Place a vanilla wafer just under the strawberry hat to make the gnome’s nose.

Finally, fill the rest of your tray with snacks, fruit, and fun dippers. Yum!!!

Make this festive Gnome Snack Board today! If you are looking for a fun and easy holiday treat, this fun idea will not disappoint!
