How to make a Pilgrim Girl Gnome
List of Supplies:
- Felt fabrics
- Matching thread
- Needle
- Pencil
- A pair of scissors
- Cotton batting
- Template
Instructions:
Download and print out the Pilgrim Girl Gnome template and cut out the patterns neatly. Select colored felt fabrics for the gnome plush and trace the patterns on the selected felts. Cut out the traced patterns nicely.
Take the collar and dress cutout; place the collar near the top edge of the dress and sew the collar to the dress cutout. Place the nose cutout on the top edge of the face cutout and stitch them together on the top of the nose with just 2 or 3 stitches.
Place the 2 braid cutouts on either side of the dress, covering the edges of the collar.
Place the face piece along the top of the dress.
Hold the head and dress patterns together and place them on the bottom part of the base cutout.
Now, place the hat cutout on the top part of the base, overlapping and slightly covering the top edge of the head.
Move the front of the pilgrim girl off of the base, then use matching thread to stitch the bottom edge of the hat to the top edge of the head and dress cutouts to join all 3 pieces together.
Place the 2 shoe cutouts on the bottom edge of the base cutout.
Place the front of the gnome on the base cutout, keeping the shoe cutouts between the front and base layers.
Stitch around the side to join the base and the front pattern. Keep a small opening for stuffing.
Stuff the gnome, then close the opening to secure the stuffing.
Tie a knot or 2 and then cut off extra thread to complete the pilgrim girl gnome craft.
