  • Wooden Ball or Bead
  • White Tinsel Pom Poms
  • Red Craft Paint – Red
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks (or your favorite craft glue)
  • Twine, String, or Ribbon

Instructions:

Cut approximately 30 individual strings from the cotton mop head with scissors.

To create the Santa hat, make a triangle with three jumbo craft sticks on your work surface, and secure at the corners with a glue gun and glue sticks.

**You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry between steps.

Dry fit additional jumbo craft sticks along the length of the triangle and mark with a pencil.

STEP FOUR

Trim the ends of the jumbo craft sticks with scissors.

Attach the trimmed jumbo craft sticks to the back of the Santa hat with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Paint the entire Santa hat with red craft paint. Let the paint dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Attach large white tinsel pom poms to the bottom edge of the Santa hat with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Flip the Santa hat over and attach 15 cotton mop head strings along the base of the bottom wooden craft stick with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Glue 15 additional cotton mop head strings on a second layer.

Trim the ends of the mop beard with scissors.

Glue the wooden ball to the top center of Santa’s beard, just under the hat brim.

Attach a jumbo white tinsel pom pom to the top of Santa’s hat with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Measure and cut a 12” length of twine, string or ribbon. Flip Santa over and attach the ends of the twine to the right and left side of the hat with a glue gun and glue sticks.
