Paper Bag Mermaid Puppet Craft
Supplies:
- Colored craft papers
- Pencil – to trace the template
- Craft glue
- marker or gel pen
- A pair of scissors
- Paper bag
- Template
Paper Bag Mermaid Puppet Craft
Instructions:
Download and print out the mermaid template. Cut out the template pieces.
Select colored craft papers for the paper bag mermaid’s skin, hair, tail and other patterns.
Trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and cut them out nicely.
Use a marker or gel pen to add detail to the eyes.
Use a marker or gel pen to draw scalloped fin texture on the tail cutout.
Attach the tail fin cutout on the narrow end of the tail base and attach the waist cutout at the top of the tail base.
Cut slit along the line inside the hair cutout. Insert the top end of the head through the slit from below.
Use some glue to secure the hair to the head.
Attach the eye cutouts on the head, below the bangs.
Use a marker or gel pen to draw the nose and mouth on to the mermaid figure.
Attach the bikini top cutout on the upper body cutout.
Glue the tail onto the mermaid’s body.
Now, lets create the puppet.
Glue the mermaid’s body onto the paper bag, under the bottom flap.
Glue the head on the paper bag flap.
Trace and cut out a flower and glue it onto the hair of the mermaid.
You can add more details if you want to.
