Make Superhero Paper Plates

Materials:

  • Paper Plate
  • Craft Paint – Black, Yellow, Red, Blue
  • Cardstock or Craft Paper – Yellow, Black, White
  • Craft Glue or a Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors 
  • Markers
  • Printed Paper Plate Superheroes Pattern

Instructions:

Paint the inside of the paper plate with red craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Starting a 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock draw eight lines with a black marker, all intersecting in the middle of the paper plate.

Using a black marker and starting in the center, draw a series of scallops, attaching each wedge shape together. Continue drawing toward the outer edge of the plate creating a spider web pattern.

Download and print the Superhero Patterns, then cut out with scissors.

Trace the Spiderman outer eyes twice onto black cardstock and the inner eyes twice onto white cardstock.

Cut out the Spiderman eye patterns with scissors making sure to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.

Attach the inner eyes to the outer eyes with glue.

Paint the inside of the paper plate with yellow craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Paint a stripe around the outside edge of the paper plate with black craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Trace the Batman logo once onto black cardstock with a pencil.

Cut out the Batman logo pattern with scissors making sure to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.

Attach the Batman logo to the center of the paper plate with glue.

Paint the inside of the paper plate with red craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Paint a stripe around the paper plate with blue craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Trace the Wonder Woman logo and six stars onto yellow cardstock with a pencil.

Cut out the Wonder Woman logo pattern with scissors making sure to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.

Outline the Wonder Woman logo with a black marker. Attach the Wonder Women logo to the center of the paper plate with glue. To finish, glue three stars to the top of the blue stripe and three stars to the bottom of the blue stripe.
