Supplies:

  • Colored craft papers
  • Paper bag
  • Craft glue
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Printed pattern

Instructions:

Download and print out the puppy puppet pattern. Cut out the pattern pieces.

We chose light brown, dark brown and light pink colored craft papers for the puppy craft. Let kids get crate in choosing colors for their puppy puppet.

Trace the patterns on your chosen papers, then cut them out.


*We traced the body base, head and leg patterns on the light brown colored paper; the tail and ear patterns on dark brown colored craft paper; and the muzzle and the belly patterns on the light pink colored craft paper.  

Attach the muzzle on the bottom edge of the head cutout and attach the belly cutout on the bottom edge of the body base cutout. 

Attach the eye cutouts onto the head pattern.

Use a marker to draw the nose and mouth onto the dog puppet. 

Select a paper bag for your puppet.

Attach the leg patterns near the open edge of the paper bag.

Attach the tail on one side of the paper bag.

Attach the body base piece overlapping the legs, under the flap of the paper bag.

Attach the head of the paper dog on the flap of the paper bag.
