How to Make a Leprechaun Bookmark

Supplies:

  • Colored papers
  • Craft glue
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Marker
  • Template

Instructions:

Print the template and cut out the pattern pieces.

Choose green, orange, pink, black and yellow colored papers for your leprechaun bookmark craft.

Trace the template patterns on the colored papers. Trace the head, nose and hand patterns on light pink paper. Trace the hat, body, and sleeve patterns on green paper. Trace the beard on orange paper. Trace the strip and the small square on black paper. Trace the medium square on yellow paper.

Cut out the traced shapes.

Attach the head piece towards the top of the beard piece, as shown below. Attach the one hand piece at the end of each each sleeve.

Attach the head piece on the curved side of the Leprechaun’s body.

Attach the arms to the Leprechaun’s body. Glue only the very ends of the sleeves, near the head to the body. Be sure to leave most of the sleeve unattached to the Leprechaun’s body.

Cut off any excess sleeve at the shoulder as shown below.

Glue the nose circle in the middle of the head. Use a marker to draw the eyes and mouth of the leprechaun.

Attach the black strip near the bottom of the hat piece. Glue the small black square inside the yellow square. Then glue the attached squares onto the middle of the black strip on the hat.

Glue the hat on top of the leprechaun’s head.

Now, you can slide a page underneath the arms of the leprechaun to use it as a bookmark.
