How to make this Turkey Thanksgiving Papercraft

Supplies:

  • Colored craft papers
  • Craft glue
  • Black marker
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Template

Instructions:

Print out the turkey template and cut out all the turkey pattern pieces.

Select 2 different shades of brown craft papers along with 3 or 4 fall colored craft papers for the turkey craft.

Trace the body and head patterns on the light brown paper, the large feather base and the wing patterns on the dark brown paper, the legs and beak on yellow paper; and the feather patterns on red and orange (or other fall colored) papers.

Attach the wing patterns on both sides of the body and attach the beak on the head piece.

Attach the head piece on the top of the body piece and the legs on the bottom of the body.

Take the feather base piece and attach the individual feather cutouts on the base.

Fill the whole feather base with the individual feather cutouts. Arrange the feathers nicely and create a pleasing color arrangement.

Attach the feather base on the back of the turkey, keeping the pointy area facing upwards.

Use a black marker to draw the eyes of the papercraft turkey puppet to complete the craft.

*You can attach a popsicle stick to the back if you’d like to make your turkey a puppet.

Now that your Thanksgiving turkey is created, be sure to also make these super cute pilgrim and Native American children too!
