How to make paper Valentine Gnomes
List of Supplies:
- Colored craft papers
- Pencil
- Craft glue
- A pair of scissors
- Marker or gel pen
- Template
Instructions:
Download and print the gnome template. Cut out all of the pattern pieces.
We’ll begin with the girl gnome figure.
Select colored craft papers you’d prefer to use and trace the girl gnome pattern pieces on the craft papers.
Cut out all of the pattern pieces.
Attach the braid cutouts on the hat cutout as shown below.
To make the gnome’s nose stand out away from her face, cut 3 small squares out of a scrap piece of card stock.
Glue the squares on top of each other, then glue the whole stack to the back of the nose cutout.
Attach the nose to the gnome’s head.
Attach the hat onto the head.
Use a marker to draw the eyes onto the gnome figure.
Attach the shoe cutouts along the bottom edge of the dress.
Then, attach the head onto the dress.
For the girl gnome be sure to keep the braids in front of the dress. For the boy gnome, attach the beard and mustache to the gnome’s shirt just below the gnome’s nose.
Place glue only at the top edge of the arm cutout.
Attach the arm to the side of the dress, being sure to keep the bottom part of the arm free from glue.
Repeat the above steps to attach the other arm cutout to the gnome.
Place some glue on the back of the heart cutout.
Slide the heart cutout under the arms so your gnome is holding the heart.
All done!
Now, follow the steps again to make the boy gnome too.
