How to Make a Pig with Jumbo Craft Sticks

Gather your supplies and follow the step-by-step instructions to create your very own pink pig. Kids will be thrilled to see their pigs come to life with just a few simple materials!

Materials:

  • Jumbo Craft Sticks
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Craft Felt – Light Pink & Bright Pink
  • Marker, Black
  • Liquid Craft Glue or aGlue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Pink Craft Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Printed Pig Pattern

Instructions:

To create the pig, line up five jumbo craft sticks on your work surface.

Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the pig and attach with a glue gun and glue sticks.

** We used a glue gun and glue sticks for this tutorial. But, you can use liquid craft glue for this project if you prefer.

Paint the pig with pink craft paint.

Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Download, print, and cut out the pig patterns.

Trace the outer ear patterns onto light pink craft felt, the inner ears and snout onto bright pink craft felt.

Cut out the traced patterns with scissors, cutting inside the lines to create a clean finished project. 

Attach the bright pink felt inner ear onto the light pink felt outer ear with glue. 

Attach two wiggle eyes with glue.

Glue the ears to the top right and top left of the pig and the snout just under the eyes.

To finish, draw two oval nostrils on the snout and a mouth under the snout with a black marker.
