Princess, Princess, Princess. Day and night my girls love their princesses. Whether dressed in costumes, or choosing their favorite princess nightgown, or wearing a tiara to the store, or playing with a favorite Disney Princess doll, it’s always princesses!
So, when it came to Emily’s 4th birthday there was no question- it would be a Disney Princess party in pink, pink, pink (and maybe a little purple)! We made this adorable Princess Crown Wand as both a party craft AND a party favor for her day. The girls adored creating their on party place setting by decorating the crown wands!
Here is how we made the Disney Princess Crown Wands.
Supplies:
- Disney Princess 16 oz Party Cups
- Wooden Round Dowel Rods
- Wooden Crowns
- Dry Foam for flower arrangements (buy one cylinder per 2 party favor cups)
- Silver Paint Pen
- Glitter Silver Duct Tape
- Paint
- Self-adhesive Rhinestones
- Disney Princess Party Favor Pack (not pictured above)
Directions:
Before the party begins-
Write each guest’s name on a cup with silver paint pen.
Cut each dry foam cylinder into two pieces, and place one piece in each cup.
Fill each cup with party favors from the Disney Princess Party Favor Pack.
Hot glue a dowel rod on the back of each wooden crown.
Wrap silver duct tape around the dowel rod.
After Party Guests Arrive-
Set up a craft area for party guests to decorate their crown wands. Each guest should paint her wand as she likes. (HELPFUL HINT- use paper plates to keep the paint off of the table).
Finish decorating the crown wand with self-adhesive rhinestone stickers.
Place finished wand into the waiting party favor cup.
My girls loved completing their Disney Princess Crown Wand party crafts and favors. Plus, they looked adorable as place settings when it came time for cupcakes!
Do you have a Disney Princess crazy little girl? What would her dream party be?
What a fabulous activity for a birthday party! It keeps the party guests busy and creative while also providing them with a gift that they can actually take home and use. Genius!
They came out so adorable and they look great! I love Walmart’s party section!! When we had a Sweet 16 for my daughter last year we bought everything there.
These party favors are too cute. My little cousins would definitely love to have a Disney themed Princess party.
Oh man i love this so much! My daughter LOVES Princesses and this is a much better idea than just handing the favors out… making a craft out of it. Will definitely do this next year!
What a really cute idea! My daughter is having a Princess party in October when she turns 4 and this little wand craft is a fantastic idea!
What a super cute party craft! I love items that can double as a take-home gift, which is why my daughter’s friends are decorating parasols at her birthday party in a few weeks. I cannot wait! I think I’m more excited for her party than she is! #client
