Saturn, Uranus, Earth, Venus pattern

Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Neptune pattern

Cut out all of the pattern pieces.

Select different colored felt fabrics according to the colors of each planet.

You can check for the planet colors on the internet or in a reference book- or you can simply follow the colors we used.

Let’s start our craft with Jupiter and Saturn.

We’re using brown for the base color of both planets, orange and brown stripes for Jupiter and a grey belt for Saturn.

Grab one of the base cutouts of Jupiter and prepare needle and thread.

Stitch the orange and brown strips on the base by doing simple running stitch.

If you’re looking for a quick craft, you can use fabric glue or hot glue to attach the strips on the base.

One by one stitch or glue all the stripes on the Jupiter base.

Grab the other base cutout of Jupiter.

Place the plain base cutout on the bottom side of the striped one and use needle and thread to join both pieces around the border.

Keep a small opening to stuff the felt Jupiter. Use cotton or scrap felt pieces to stuff the felt pattern through the opening.

Stitch to close the open end and secure the stuffing. Tie a knot or two to secure the thread. Cut off extra thread.

Craft the Saturn base and stitch the belt onto the planet after completing the stuffed base planet.

Prepare the patterns of the rest of the planets and stitch them according to their size and shade. Follow the photo below for element placement.
