Place the red strip cutouts on the plain side of the star base cutout.

Continue to fill the plain side with the red strips.

Stitch the red strips to the star base.

Trim the extra ends of the strips to be even with the star base.

Stitch around the sides to join both star bases.

Keep a small opening and stuff the felt star with a small amount of cotton batting.

Stitch the open end to secure the stuffing. Create a small loop with a thin ribbon.

Attach the ribbon loop on the backside of the felt star to complete the ornament.

To make the second star ornament, simply layer 3 different sized stars together, stitching through all three layers.
