How to Make a Handprint Peacock Craft

Supplies

  • Colored craft papers
  • Pencil
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Template

Instructions:

Download and print out the peacock template. Cut out the pattern pieces.

Select different shades of blue, green and yellow craft papers for the handprint peacock craft.

Trace your child’s handprint and the template pieces onto the craft papers.

Use a pair of scissors to cut out the traced patterns.

The handprint cutout will become the tail fan of the paper peacock.

Glue the larger teardrop cutouts along the fingers of the handprint cutout.

Glue the smaller teardrop cutouts on the larger teardrops.

Glue the head cutout on to the peacock’s neck.

Glue the wing cutouts on either sides of the body cutout.

Use a marker to draw the eyes on the eye base cutouts.

Glue the eye cutouts on to the peacock’s head.

Glue the beak cutout below the peacock’s eyes.

Glue the leg cutouts along the bottom edge of the peacock’s body.

Finally, glue the peacock’s body on top of the handprint tail fan to complete the peacock craft.
