Kids can enjoy imaginative play with their Leprechaun once the St. Patrick’s Day craft is complete. Maybe their Leprechaun could hide a pot of gold somewhere for friends to find!

How to make a Leprechaun Craft with a Toilet Paper Roll

List of Supplies:

  • Colored craft papers
  • Pencil – to trace the template
  • Craft glue
  • Marker or gel pen
  • Empty toilet paper roll
  • A pair of scissors
  • Template

Instructions:

Download and print out the leprechaun template. Cut out all of the template pieces.

Select an empty toilet paper roll and different colored craft papers for this craft. You’ll want to choose shades of green, yellow, black, white and a skin color.

Trace all of the pattern pieces onto your chosen craft papers. Be sure to cut the slit line on the hat cutout.

Glue the beard and the eyebrow cutouts on the head cutout.

Glue the eyes onto the Leprechaun’s head, below the eyebrows.

Use a maker to draw eye outlines and to draw the mouth.

Cut slits on the buckle cutouts of the belt and the hat ribbon.

Insert the black strips through the slits.

Attach the hat ribbon onto the hat, just above the slit.

Insert the top of the head up through the hat slit. Use some glue to secure the hat and head together.

Attach the button cutouts on the shirt cutout.

Cut a piece of green paper that will cover the empty toilet paper roll.

Attach the shirt and the belt onto the green rectangle you just cut.

Cover the toilet paper roll with the green rectangle. Secure the paper to the toilet paper tube with glue.

Attach the head on the top edge of the toilet paper roll to complete the Leprechaun craft.
